A Natural Approach

Reflexology aims to bring the body back towards normal function, improve appearance and reduce stress. It works on a holistic approach: the whole person needs to be treated in order to restore wellbeing and vitality. Joanna's treatments focus on optimal hormonal health.

What to expect

The treatment is always adjusted to suit the individual person, usually including facial reflexology, or a combination of face and foot.

The initial session lasts up to 75 minutes, including a medical and lifestyle consultation to create a tailored plan. Subsequent treatments will take 55 minutes.

Many conditions are multi-layered – some need conventional treatment, whilst many don’t necessarily.  The number of sessions required will vary depending on the patient’s requirements.

The Approach
Reflexology Explained

Reflexology is an ancient practice - people have been working the feet to achieve health and wellbeing for thousands of years. It is the technique of applying gentle pressure to specific reflex areas on the face, feet, or hands, to bring relaxation and healing in corresponding parts of the body.

Similar to acupuncture (but without the needles!) Reflexology works with the body’s meridians. The theory is that all parts of the body are connected to areas on the face, feet and hands. When these areas are stimulated, it sends a signal through the nervous system to the brain, to improve the function of internal organs and glands.

Reflexology is a safe, drug-free therapy – the perfect antidote to our overly busy modern lives. It is acknowledged that over 75% of all illness is stress-related. When we fail to manage our mental load, it can inhibit our immune systems, leaving us more susceptible to disease. Reflexology can help by bringing balance and wellbeing to the face, body and mind.
